News bites: February 26, 2022

tvN drama Murderer’s Shopping List released new photos, featuring the cast at the drama’s first script reading. Starring Lee Kwang-soo (Live) and Seolhyun (Awaken), the comedy-mystery will be gracing our screens in April. [KBS]

Fan Bing-bing (The 355) will have a cameo in JTBC’s upcoming action-suspense drama Insider, which stars Kang Haneul (When the Camellia Blooms) and Lee Yoo-young (The Lies Within). Airing later this year, filming for Fan’s portions of the drama have already been completed. [JTBC]
There’s a new poster out for KBS’s romance Going to You at a Speed of 493 km. With badminton playing a central role in the story, lead actors Park Joo-hyun (Mouse) and Chae Jong-hyeop (The Witch’s Diner) will both be playing former players. A new teaser was released as well, but it is sadly geo-blocked in some regions. [KBS]

Kang So-ra (Revolutionary Love) is in talks for a new drama called Can We Be Strangers. Leading the project is film director Sohn Jae-gon, who worked with Kang in his last movie Secret Zoo. [Dispatch]
Planning has resumed for the second season of tvN’s Arthdal Chronicles, with filming set to begin this year once casting has been finalized. The writers of season one, Kim Young-hyun and Park Sang-yeon, will be returning for season two, but a new director will be stepping in: film director Kim Kwang-shik (The Great Battle). [Dispatch]
tvN’s upcoming revenge drama Eve has also released photos of the first script reading, with Seo Ye-ji (It’s Okay to Not Be Okay), Park Byung-eun (Human Disqualification), Yoo Sun (Hush), and Lee Sang-yub (On the Verge of Insanity). Written by Yoon Young-mi and directed by Park Bong-seop, a release date has not yet been confirmed. [KBS]

TVING is planning an action-suspense drama called Bargain with Jin Seon-gyu (Through the Darkness) confirmed as the lead along with rising film actor Jeon Jong-seo (Mona Lisa and the Blood Moon). The story is an adaptation of film director Lee Choong-hyun’s (Heart Attack) movie by the same title, and Lee will be taking the reins for the drama as well. [News1]
The supporting cast has been announced for MBC’s Golden Spoon with Choi Won-young (Moonshine) leading the pack. Yay to a reunion with Yook Sung-jae (Mystic Pop-up Bar)! The lineup also includes Sohn Yeo-eun (The King’s Affection), Choi Dae-chul (Inspector Koo), and Han Chae-ah (The King’s Affection). [MBC]
