The Witch is Alive: Episode 4 (Drama Hangout)

From the very beginning, the premise was three friends who will have one of three outcomes: divorce, motherhood, or death. The script’s missing information at dramatic times is obvious that a twist will come up in the next episode. Early on, it seemed Ma-Ri would get divorced, Hee Soo would have the baby she wanted, and Jin-A die by the stalker Squirrel. But after this episode, anything can happen to anyone.

It was obvious that Jin A’s husband was still alive. Finding him on a wilderness reality TV show was a unique script option. But in this week’s theme that it is sometimes better not to KNOW the truth, I think this would have been a better choice for her. We still do not know why he left her.

The face palm problem with Hee Soo’s current situation is magnified by the ridiculous facts that her in-laws did not know mother’s house was sold? Who was looking after it for months when she was hospitalized? None of her children visited or cared for her. How did they think her bills were being paid? It was all about inheritance and blame. Again, Hee Soo deserves better.

As for Ma-Ri’s backstory and how the husband’s cheating began on a rainy night when Ma-Ri had a medical emergency . . . really tragic. It was not fully clear, but it seems Ma-Ri was having a miscarriage? But her husband rode off with Go-Eun for the night then feebly apologizes the next day in Ma-Ri’s hospital room?! The divorce should have happened then and there, but maybe it was a surprise pregnancy long after their first child. Ma-Ri still has feelings for Nak Gu, even when she was rolling to get his phone. Yes, Nak Gu got grounds to file for divorce, but that does not mean he will get what he wants because his cheating is still the precursor cause of it.

For $50, the fortune teller can give you a dark web site to get revenge on cheating husbands? It worked well for the mysterious client. It seems too good to be true.

The show is still rolling along, even with the stories starting to go overboard (beyond belief). Again, this show was meant to show Lee Yu-ri crazy woman skills.
