Not a life lesson, just a drama-watching lesson. This is something I realised recently. If you’re not able to empathise with the characters within the first episode, you never will. The quicker the characters hook you in, the higher is the chance that you’re gonna be a loyalist who sticks through all kind of storytelling storms, right to the end. Because now you don’t just like the characters, you LOVE them.
